Jeanette Hawes, is a successful professional singer (for over 35 years) as a solo artist and as a member of the Grammy and American Music Award-winning group The Emotions, with her two sisters. Her father prayed for talented children and as soon as his daughters could talk, he began teaching them to sing, and had them practice in the basement of their home on the south side of Chicago. When Sheila, the youngest, was five years old, they began singing in church choirs and were known as the Hutchinson Sunbeams and they’ve been singing ever since. Now pursuing more theatrical solo opportunities, Jeanette is using her executive administrative skills to build a nonprofit organization that she has founded, Jahi All National Treasures Homes. The nonprofit through continuing creative endeavors brings light to the needs of orphans and emancipated foster youth. She is currently involved in fundraising and event coordinating for one of the most prestigious non-profits in the performing arts industry, the Music Center of Los Angeles.
